PrimeGuard is a two component (2K) polyamide epoxy primer specifically designed to deliver an exceptional combination of corrosion protection and effective water barrier properties, while also functioning as a functional tiecoat for antifouling paints. A key advantage is its extended overcoating window without requiring sanding or surface modification, significantly reducing labor time. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, it covers a wide range of applications including hulls, engine rooms, and tanks both above and below the waterline as well as superstructures and decks. It can also be used on composite materials like GRP constructions, effectively preventing osmotic blistering. PrimeGuard serves as either a sealer or tiecoat for antifouling systems, whether applied on new surfaces or over existing (aged) epoxy fillers and polyurethane systems.
