A high-performance two-component epoxy primer formulated for underwater propulsion gear such as propellers, shafts, thrusters, and rudders, including bronze, aluminum, and steel substrates.
Powered by Helix Coatings’ proprietary Dual Adhesion Matrix™, PropPrime achieves superior bonding through a combination of mechanical interlock and chemical anchoring — ensuring long-term adhesion and corrosion resistance in submerged marine environments.
HydrO2Flow PropPrime ensures optimal anchoring adhesion for HydrO₂Flow PropTop, delivering long-term performance in submerged areas.
Available Shades – Functional Selection
HydrO2Flow PropPrime is available in three shades, each optimized for specific application area:
- Metallic Bronze: Ideal for propellers, shafts, rudders, and other bronze propulsion gear where aesthetic consistency and premium finish are desired.
- Flat Black: Recommended for structural supports such as brackets, struts, The rich black tone provides visual contrast and coverage uniformity on complex geometries. Note: For trim tabs (flaps) that visually continue the hull line, it is recommended to match the shade of PropPrime with the antifouling coating used on the hull. This ensures seamless visual integration and a uniform underwater appearance.
- Clear: Specifically formulated for underwater lighting fixtures, transducers, and aesthetic-critical areas where substrate visibility must be preserved.
HydrO2Flow PropTop – Fouling Release Topcoat Clear
A single-component fouling release topcoat engineered for underwater propulsion gear and submerged metal substrates. HydrO2Flow PropTop utilizes advanced Foul Release Technology to create an ultra-smooth, low-friction surface that actively resists marine organism attachment — without the use of biocides.
Formulated to work in synergy with HydrO2Flow PropPrime, it contributes to the overall adhesion integrity of the system, ensuring that the topcoat remains anchored to the substrate under continuous marine exposure.
HydrO2Flow PropTop enhances speed and reduces fuel consumption, while preserving the substrate’s aesthetic clarity and mechanical integrity.
Available exclusively in Clear, with optimized viscosity and film build for brush, roller, or spray application.
